Intro to Glass Blowing

This exciting one day workshop will introduce you to the world of glassblowing. Whether you are considering a career in glassblowing, or are interested in taking up a rewarding artistic hobby, our classes will give you the technical skills you need to create beautiful and functional works of art. This class begins at 10am and will be about 4 hours long. Each class is limited to six students maximum to ensure individual attention. In this class you will learn basic glass knowledge, safety, process and hands-on application. Class is split up into demos and practice time. Before each project your instructor will demonstrate it from start to finish, pointing out key tips and techniques.  All students will work with borosilicate glass in both solid and hollow form while incorporating colored glass into your work.  You will be able to keep your art!  All tools, equipment, and glass will be provided.  No previous glassworking experience is required.  Perfect to take with friends, and for exploring the art of glassblowing!

Cost for this class is $200.  All students must be 18 years or older.
